Good day, spent 6h doing differential equations (lectures 4,5,6) and a bunch of problems from the book
Did my first framing exercise, read all the other answers. Felt very conceptually interesting.
Watched the first Feynman lecture, learned some stuff about the tides, how physical constants were determined etc.
Derived the equations for the shape of a rope/chain.
Wasted an hour on discord and reading random stuff. Found some funny tweets though.
In total spent 8.5h studying. Less than 10h because I wasted ~1h after dinner and could have squeezed more in throughout the day.
Goals for tomorrow:
- Do lots of modeling exercises, try and finish chapter 1 of book incl exercises
- Practice the stuff I've learned in lectures 1-6 (2+ hours)
- Do another framing exercise (1h)
- Start writing Lesswrong post on differential equations (becoming stronger sequence)
