Had trouble going to bed last night, so moved alarm to 7am instead of 6.
Worked 8.5h, a lot of shuffling around doing different stuff though all of it was productive.
- Spent 30m drilling integrals
- Spent 30m practicing probability, need to practice more but I have a better idea of the jaynes framework now
- Spent 1h helping family with brothers
- Spent 1h 30m watching 18.085 lectures. Springs and systems of equations, need to get better at interpreting a matrix physically.
- Spent 25m reading an argument against AI being a problem, disagreed with most of the points so was kinda a waste
- Spent 40m learning about the elon musk twitter deal, watched this podcast episode
- 2h 20m Reading Norvig's AI book, was very productive. will do this more tomorrow (and do some exercises?)
- Spent 2h 30m working on a lesswrong post, flip flopped between a post on search and a post on basic calculus. Ended up doing neither
Tomorrow I'm going to read AIMA most of the day and do some exercises, it seems to have high learn-entropy. I can also start writing up a review for a sequence
I want to write a useful lesswrong post on math. I'll just make posts on whatever I have a nice "angle" on (i.e. I can explain extra well).
Posts like "What I learned from X book" are also good, though it requires I finish somewhat finish a book.
