Bad(ish) day. Got up at 7, swimming, etc. 8-10 did memory practice, finished my birthday system.
Spent 2h reading functional analysis, didn't feel very productive. I need to take more breaks
Spent 30m reading "The Princeton companion to mathematics" (pure and applied editions). Seems very good, I will use it for intuitions in future
Spent 1h 15m doing Abbott 6.6, TERRIBLE WASTED TIME. Should have taken breaks. Did merge a PR though
Spent 30m reading about embedded agency and 1h reading the ELK document. I need to work on alignment stuff before my interview for atlas.
Spent 1h at the functional analysis meetup. Talked with ppl, then ate dinner, watched some YouTube (waste, should be reading) then spent another hour talking about functional analysis (compactness, specifically)
Things I found
- "The Princeton Companion to Mathematics" (from 3b1b's book recommendations)
- Terry Tao's great article on compactness
